　　The White House said the two leaders reaffirmed the "historic" relationship between their countries over a phone talk and discussed deepening bilateral¹ cooperation, especially on regional security issues of mutual² concern.

　　"The president invited King Mohammed to Washington and said he looked forward to continuing their conversation in person," the White House said in a statement.

　　Washington sees Morocco as a "strong partner" in its counterterrorism efforts.
