　　The contraband² was discovered Thursday inside a wooden container at Puerto Fenix, an air terminal and shipping³ port on the Paraguay River, on the outskirts⁴ of the capital Asuncion, National Anti-Narcotics Secretariat Director Francisco de Vargas said.

　　The cocaine may have been flown in from Bolivia or Colombia, Vargas told a local radio station, admitting that Paraguay has " serious failures" in monitoring air traffic due to faulty radar⁵ equipment.

　　The authorities, however, have seized two sizable shipments of cocaine at Puerto Fenix before, including a 300-kg cache in February and an 875-kg cargo⁶ in May 2011, he said.
