【译文】举例来说，只要上溯三代，一个人就会有八个曾父母，或者上溯四代，就会有十六位曾曾祖父母，即便如此，这种 DNA 只能揭示一到两位祖先的基因信息。

【分析】并列复合句。so 连接两个并列分句。前一分句中的 that 引导宾语从句；后一分句中的 that 引导定语从句，修饰 company。
【译文】也就是说，DNA 数据库可能有很多数据是来自某些（相同的）地区而不是另外的地区，所以根据处理那些数据结果的公司的不同，一个人的测试结果也就不同。
【点拨】depend 常与 on/upon 连用，表示“视情况而定”，另外 depend on 还有“依靠；信赖”的意思。
