Black Friday - not the name of the latest Hollywood horror movie, although for many the experience is pretty horrific. It is actually the day straight after Thanksgiving in the US when shoppers flock to malls hunting bargains and Christmas presents. And the German engineering giant ThyssenKrupp is developing an elevator that moves sideways, as well as up and down.
