1. Iran's state-run Press TV says three Americans jailed in Iran are now meeting with their mothers. The trio’s mothers arrived in Tehran yesterday to visit their children and try to secure their release. The three were arrested along the Iraqi border in July, and Iran has accused them of spying.

2. North Korea warns it will wage all-out war if punished toward the sinking of a South Korean warship. Investigators say evidence proved that a North Korean submarine fired a torpedo that sank a South Korean naval ship back in March. Forty six sailors died in that attack.

3. Officials say an army veteran who sped away from security in an air force base in Florida has been shot and killed by an FBI agent. Officials say the veteran threatened the agent with a knife. No one else was injured. The air force has not released the dead man's name or the name of the FBI agent.

4. Warmart says it is pulling an entire line of Miley Cyrus-brand jewelry from its shelves after test show they contain high levels of the toxic metal, cadmium. The items aren't believed to be dangerous if simply worn. Concern comes when youngsters bite or suck on the jewelry. Long-term exposure to cadmium can lead to bone softening and kidney failure.
