3. At least 12 people are dead, at least a dozen more injured, after they were run over by a train near Barcelona. The group was crossing the tracks when it was hit by a long-distance train passing through the station.

4. The longest match in tennis history is set to resume today. The first round Wimbledon match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut was halted at dusk yesterday. The score in the fifth set is all square at 59 to 59. The two have been playing for ten hours. The fifth set lasted more than seven hours alone. The old record for the longest match was 6.5 hours at the 2004 French Open.
