1. New wildfire is burning in Colorado. Authorities say it has destroyed several homes. There are other homes nearby in the foothills, but the fire is moving slowly - something firefighters hope to use to get the blaze under control.

 

2. A plane carrying 51 people crashes in Venezuela. Officials say at least 33 survived. The twin-engine turboprop was owned by Conviasa, the state-run airline. The crash came in the city of Puerto Ordaz.

 

3. Near San Francisco, federal investigators want the public’s help, trying to see if a gas line was leaking before exploded. A fireball consumed 50 homes and killed four people with others still missing.

 

4. In Alaska, residents are getting close to one of the state's enduring symbols, trying to master the call of the moose. People tried their best at the zoo. The animals seemed unimpressed.
