1. President Barack Obama is offering to help India and Pakistan resolve their long-standing dispute over Kashmir. The president said both India and Pakistan have an interest in reducing tensions in the region. The president is in India as part of a trip to Asia.

 

2. The president's next stop is Indonesia where fears remain about Mount Merapi. An Indonesian volcanologist says it could erupt again at any time. So far, it's responsible for 141 deaths. The volcanic ash has forced numerous flight delays and cancellations.

 

3. The CEO of Qantas says tests have found oil leaks in three engines on its grounded Airbus A380 fleet. Australia's national carrier grounded the double-decker plane after an engine burst minutes into a flight from Singapore to Sydney last week. The CEO says the groundings will last at least 72 more hours.

 

4. MSNBC says Keith Olbermann will be back on the air Tuesday, ending his suspension for violating NBC's rules against making political donations. Olbermann acknowledged making donations to three Democratic candidates. NBC News prohibits its employees from making political donations unless granted an exception by the network news president.
