Israeli warplanes attack Gaza(在线收听

GAZA, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israeli warplanes carried out several airstrikes(空袭) in the Gaza Strip early Monday despite attempts by Gaza's Hamas rulers to enforce a shaky ceasefire(停火).
The F-16 jets struck two training sites for the military wing of Islamic Hamas movement in the southern Gaza Strip and in the north of Gaza City, security sources said.
Loud sounds of blasts were heard through the Strip and air concussion shaked houses within an area of a square kilometer near the targeted sites, residents and witnesses said.
Fighter jets and reconnaissance(无人驾驶侦察机) drones kept hovering overhead.
The airstrikes caused no casualties since Hamas, which controls Gaza, was expecting them and kept its security and military sites evacuated.
The raids are the first Israeli army's response to Saturday's mortar barrage which wounded two foreign workers in an Israeli community village in Western Negev.
The smaller Islamic Jihad movement claimed responsibility for firing the mortars. A day earlier, an Israeli soldier was killed by "friendly fire," after two army units engaged with Palestinian militants on the Gaza-Israel border.
On Sunday, Hamas asked Gaza armed groups to remain committed to the shaky ceasefire which followed Israel's major military operation here two years ago.
Hamas says it does not want another Operation Cast Lead, the codename of a three-week offensive which killed up to 1,400 Palestinians, to happen again in the coastal enclave which is merely recovering from the war's effects.(本文由在线英语听力室整理编辑)
