Boeing delays 787 Dreamliner delivery 7th time(在线收听

BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Boeing Co. on Tuesday pushed back the seventh time the deliveries of its oft-delayed 787 Dreamliner(梦幻客机) to the third quarter of 2011, according to Reuters reports.
"The revised timeline for first delivery accommodates the work we believe remains to be done to complete testing and certification of the 787," said Scott Fancher, general manager of the 787 program.
The delay came after an in-flight electrical fire and subsequent emergency landing.
Boeing shares tumbled 9.3 percent in the wake of the Nov. 9 fire, but have since recovered and gone up 2.7 percent at 71.98 U.S. dollars on Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
"We think investors widely expected a delay of this magnitude, and given the recovery in the stock price, have become comfortable that the 787 problems are not a show stopper, and will not have a meaningful impact on the positive trajectory of this aerospace upcycle," said Robert Stallard, an aerospace analyst at RBC Capital Markets.
Boeing currently has 847 orders for the Dreamliner, which promises a quieter and more comfortable ride for passengers.(本文由在线英语听力室整理编辑)
