1. Flights and trains are slowly resuming across the Northeast, but the lines are still long and a lot of flights are still canceled. Thousands of travelers are trying to get home after a massive blizzard dumped more than two feet of snow in parts of the Northeast.

2. Five young men have been found dead inside a South Florida motel from what authorities believed was carbon monoxide poisoning. Police believed the teens left the car running in a garage below a motel room and a door leading to a staircase up to the room had been left open.

3. President Obama made the first public appearance of his vacation. He stopped by one of his favorite local shops for a Hawaiian snow cone known as "shave ice". The president placed about a dozen orders for family and friends.

4. And Elton John is now a dad. John and husband David Furnish have become parents to a 7-pound-15-ounce boy. Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born in California via a surrogate.
