1. An upstate New York congressman abruptly leaves the House. Republican Christopher Lee resigned, after a racy photo of him popped up on the gossip website Gawker. Gawker reported Lee had sent a shirtless picture of himself to a woman he met on Craigslist.

 

2. A natural gas explosion in Allentown, Pennsylvania leveled two houses. The subsequent fire destroyed six other houses. At least 600 people had to be evacuated, several residents are still unaccounted for.

 

3. Anti-government protesters continued to gather in Cairo's Tahrir Square and outside the Egyptian parliament. Demonstrations to demand the departure of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak showed no signs of abating, despite warnings from Vice President Omar Suleiman that they wouldn't be tolerated much longer.

 

4. And now you can confess your sins on your iPhone. Two Indiana brothers developed a confession app. The Vatican says an app is no substitute for a trip to church, but the brothers say they just want to teach people about confession.
