3. An Athens Georgia police officer has been laid to rest just two days after the suspect in his death surrendered on live television. Elmer Christian was gunned down last Tuesday as he tried to question 33-year-old Jamie Hood in connection with a recent carjacking and kidnapping.

4. Several New York news outlets say the single winning ticket from Friday's Mega Millions lottery belongs to a group of state workers. The ticket was purchased at this convenience store near the Capitol and it's worth 319 million dollars.
