1. The White House released President Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate today, which says he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama says he hopes this will quiet the questions around his citizenship and qualifications to be president.

 

2. At least nine people have died in a wave of thunderstorms that blew down trees and damaged homes across the South. It was a flare-up from the same system earlier this week that had already killed 11 people.

 

3. An Afghan military pilot killed eight American soldiers and a US contractor at the Kabul Airport Wednesday after they argued at a meeting. Officials said it was the deadliest episode to date of an Afghan turning against his own coalition partners.

 

4. Excited crowds are already camping out outside of Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey to get the very best possible view ahead of Friday's royal wedding. Some people have already spent the night sleeping on the pavement, as British royal enthusiasts, foreign tourists and media crews are all gathered for the event.
