1. Witnesses say Yemeni army helicopters took US and other ambassadors out of a besieged embassy to the presidential palace. There they reportedly witnessed ruling party leaders signing an agreement for the president to step down in 30 days. State TV says Ali Abdullah Saleh will not sign the deal without opposition leaders' presence.

 

2. President Barack Obama says Israel will face growing isolation without a credible Middle East peace process. Obama said his endorsement of the Jewish state's 1967 boundaries as the basis for a Palestinian state reflected the urgent need for a two-state solution between Israelis and Palestinians.

 

3. All roads in and out of Reading, Kansas are closed after a tornado damaged about 200 homes in the town of just 250 people. One man was killed and five people injured. Most of the town is without power, and the Salvation Army is serving meals from a mobile kitchen.

 

4. And yet another Republican says he won't run for president. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels told supporters in an overnight email that the needs of his family outweigh his desire to run.
