Making world news, the United States has identified the soldier kidnapped in Afghanistan. The Taliban released a video footage of the 23-year-old Private Bowe Bergdahl yesterday. He went missing from his base in the eastern Afghanistan on June 30th. In the video, Private Bowe Bergdahl calls for US troops to be sent home.

Iran has released the last British embassy worker arrested in the aftermath of the disputed presidential election. Hossein Rassam was released on bail. He was one of the nine embassy employees detained during the political protests. He's charged with inciting unrest after the reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Honduras interim government says ousted President Manuel Zelaya can return to the country, but only to go on trial for treason not to reclaim power as he has proclaimed. The new regime has leveled 18 charges against Zelaya including high treason. Authorities have threatened to arrest him if he returns from Nicaragua, but say he will be allowed to exercise his judicial rights.

A Mauritania's military leader has been declared winner of the country's presidential elections. General Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz seized power in a military coup last year. The opposition says the outcome was prefabricated.
