Good morning.
Police in Melbourne have charged three more men over an alleged conspiracy to launch a terrorist attack in Australia. The men were held in custody in Melbourne overnight and questioned about an alleged plot to launch a suicide mission on the Holsworthy army base in Sydney. They will all be charged with terrorism-related offences.

The federal government is stepping up its attack on the Opposition leader about the OzCar affair. It’s flagged it will push for an investigation into evidence given by Treasury official Godwin Grech at a Senate inquiry. The government suggesting the Opposition may have breached parliamentary privilege.
 

Two American journalists being held in North Korea have been pardoned, following an unannounced visit to the country by former US President Bill Clinton. He met with North Korean President Kim Jong-il who agreed to release the two women. Laura Ling and Euna Lee were arrested in March for illegally entering the country.

And giant panda sisters at the San Diego Zoo have been treated to giant cakes to celebrate their birthdays. Zhen Zhen and Su Lin tucked into the ice cakes filled with their favorite goodies: bamboo, apples and carrots.
