Hello, Jessica Ascan with the National Weather. Taking a look at the satellite image first and there is a thick blink of cloud over the south of the country ahead of a cold front which is bringing rain and the occasional storm to Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. Around the states now and Queensland will see a few patchy showers about the northeast coast and isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. It should be dry but cloudy over the rest of the state. There will be widespread rain over most of the New South Wales, apart from a fine patch over the far northeast.

Much the same for Victoria, with heavy falls over the northeast ranges, tending to showers in the west. A wet day for Tasmania with some scattered showers in the north and light rain extending elsewhere. More rain for South Australia, there will be some isolated thunderstorms over the agricultural areas and frequent drizzle about the lower southeast. WA(西澳) could expect a few showers about the Eucla and central west coast, contrasting to the southern interior about the afternoon.

A mostly dry and hot day for the top end, with cloudy areas increasing during the day, bringing the odd shower to the Alice Springs District.

And checking the major cities for Sunday, rain in Melbourne, Hobart and Brisbane, and it should be mostly fine in Sydney and Canberra.
