Hello, Kirsty Heenan with the National Weather.

Cloud over eastern New South Wales and Victoria in cool onshore winds is bringing widespread rain mainly near the coast. Patchy cloud over the northern tropics is causing isolated showers while cloud over southern WA in a weak trough is only causing patchy drizzle and light rain.

It should be dry in most parts of Queensland today apart from isolated showers above the southeast coast and the northern tropics, scattered showers over northeast New South Wales and the southeast, fine in the west with moderate southwesterly winds. Widespread fog in Victoria before a cool to mild day with showers in the east, patchy drizzle in Tasmania's north with showers developing in the west by late afternoon. Isolated large showers on south Australia's far south coast and ranges. But they should gradually clear by the evening, a few showers developing over southern agricultural areas later in the day. Isolated morning showers in the Southwest land division with storms building in the Southern Goldfields. Further north, the Kimberley and the Territories’ northwest coast during the light showers and storms while the Alice Springs district will be partly cloudy ahead of a cooler suddenly change.

Checking conditions for Monday now: Partly cloudy in Brisbane and Perth, Cool and wet in the southeastern capitals, light showers in Darwin and storms this evening.
