Hello, Kirsty Heenan with the National Weather.

Cloud bands over northeastern New South Wales and central Queensland in a trough are causing showers and storms. Cloud being driven over the east coast in moist easterlies is bringing patchy showers. And cloud over parts of WA in a trough is causing potentially severe thunderstorms

Queensland can expect to widespread showers and storms in the southern and central interior and along the tropical coast, rain across the central coast and in the far south.

Heavy showers in northeastern New South Wales with the a chance of storms, staying mostly fine in the south and far west.

Fine and mainly sunny in Victoria, apart from early fog in Gippsland.

A mostly mild day for Tasmania, becoming hot inland during the day with moderate northeasterly winds around the coast.

South Australia is in for a dry and very warm day before a fresh south-easterly change in the west.

Isolated showers and storms in the southwest land division and a gust coined mainly in the afternoon. Further north, the Kimberley and the Pilbara are in for scattered showers with gusty storms in the territories' far northwest. Warm with late showers in the Alice.

Looking ahead to conditions for Monday now, showers will continue in Brisbane, partly cloudy but dry in the southern capitals, sunny for Adelaide, and late storms for Darwin.
