Indonesia has confirmed that 20 of the 78 asylum seekers on board the Oceanic Viking have agreed to disembark. The Sri Lankans have been refusing to go ashore to Indonesia. But they've now accepted the government's proposal to fast track their resettlement. They'll be transferred to the Australian-funded Tanjung Pinang Detention Center to prove their refugee status.

The Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has taken responsibility for the government's failure to stop attacks on Indian students in Australia. Mr. Rudd has faced questions on the violence during his visit to New Delhi. But he's declined to apologize for the attacks. He says the government can't guarantee the safety of foreign students.

The American couple who claimed their six-year-old son had floated away in a home-made helium balloon last month will plead guilty to charges they staged the incident according to a local newspaper. National Guard helicopters were called in to help search for the boy who was actually hiding at home in Colorado. His parents face a possible sentence of up to 90 days' jail.

And Tiger Woods will start day two of the Australian Masters at the top of the leaderboard, sharing the leader six-under par with South African Braden Grace and Australian James Nitties. The world No. 1 will tee off just after midday in Melbourne.
