LOS ANGELES, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return to Hollywood some seven years after his last movie act, Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation confirmed on Tuesday.

The embattled movie-star-turned-politician will appear in the movie "The Last Stand" as a border-town sheriff who unexpectedly has to deal with an escaped drug kingpin.
"Arnold Schwarzenegger will bring incredible magnetism to this complex but classic role," said Joe Drake, president of Lions Gate's Motion Picture Group.
The movie, which is based on a speculative script by Andrew Knauer, will be directed by South Korean action-and-suspense master Kim Jee-woon, Lions Gate said.
The movie will be the first which Schwarzenegger will star in since "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines," which was released in 2003, shortly before he kicked off his first campaign for governor.(本文由在线英语听力室整理编辑)
