On the satellite image, a high over the interior and the north is keeping skies mostly clear. There is some patchy low cloud over southeast. But it's staying dry. And cloud over southern WA will bring a few showers.

On this synoptic chart, a high will bring another cold morning to the east and a dry day to New South Wales and the interior. A front and a low should spread cold winds, cloud and rain across the south.

In Queensland, there will be a few showers in the tropics but sunny elsewhere. Widespread frost inland in New South Wales, but it'll be mostly clear and dry throughout.

To Victoria, patchy rain will develop in the west with cloud spreading throughout the state.

Showers will increase over the north of Tasmania with freshening northerly winds.

In South Australia, it will be mostly dry and sunny in the north, but scattered showers above the south with a chance of small hail.

Cool in southern Western Australia with some isolated coastal showers. It will be dry and clear in the west and the north.

And the Northern Territory can expect some isolated showers on the northeast coast, mostly sunny elsewhere.

Looking ahead to tomorrow. Mostly sunny but cool in Sydney. Early frost and clear skies in Canberra. A little rain possible in Melbourne and showers for Adelaide. Sunny in Perth. And a cloudy day with 32 in Darwin.
