Cloud streaming across the country from the Pilbara and jet stream wind is causing patchy rain. Cloud over the Bight, near a low, is triggering a few showers.

Taking a look around the states now:

A weak high over south-east Queensland is extending a weakening ridge along the east coast of Queensland.

To New South Wales, and a high pressure ridge is weakening as a cold front approaches from the west. The front will move rapidly across the state with a high pressure system, extending the ridge across the west and south-east.

In Victoria, a cold front will move north-east across the state, leaving cold and gusty southerlies in its wake. It’ll be a cool and partly cloudy day with some showers in the alpine peaks.

To Tasmania now, and there will be scattered showers more isolated in the north.

In South Australia, isolated light showers over the coastal district will extend to areas of the south-west. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Lower Eyre Peninsula.

Across to Western Australia, isolated light shower is in all but the north-west of the Kimberley; scattered showers in the south-west.

And the Top End will see a weakening high, maintaining mostly sunny conditions; and a generally dry east to south-west flow.

Tomorrow’s weather: a shower or two for Sydney and Melbourne, rainy in Brisbane, cloudy in Perth, fine in Adelaide, showers for Hobart, early frost in Canberra and another hot day in Darwin heading for a top of 32 degrees.
