 Thick cloud is pushing across the country with patchy rain. It's falling mainly across the interior. And cold southwesterly winds continue to push showers over Tasmania and southern Victoria. A low pressure trough is shifting the rain from the Northern Territory over towards western and southern Queensland and also the northern parts of New South Wales. 

 
Around the states today. And in Queensland, you can expect a few showers mainly contracting over from the southwest towards the southeast interior, heading for a top of 21 degrees in Brisbane. And showers will increase along the coastline. 
 
In New South Wales, partly cloudy with possible showers developing along the northern half of the coast. 
 
In Victoria, scattered showers in the south. They'll become more isolated this afternoon, and they should clear by the evening. A mostly dry day for the north. 
 
For Tasmania, scattered light showers in the west and south. They'll ease during the day, with highland snow making its move up to the highest peaks. 
 
South Australia, isolated light showers about the southern coast. A cloudy day with isolated showers about the west coast, Flinders and pastoral districts. A top of 14 degrees in Adelaide. 
 
Western Australia, isolated showers and drizzle will clear this afternoon from the interior, Goldfields and Ecula. And a sunny day ahead for Perth, 22 degrees.
 
Isolated showers across the southern Kimberley and northern interior. And a cloudy and cold day with patchy rain for the Northern Territory's south.
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow. Light morning frost in Hobart, heading for a top of just 10 degrees. A fine day for Adelaide, 14. We can expect some evening storms in Perth a top of 21 degrees.
