The satellite image shows cloud over eastern New South Wales is spinning about an offshore low, triggering showers over the coast and ranges. Cloud over central South Australia and Victoria is causing showers. There are mostly clear skies in the west and north under a broad range of high pressure.

Taking a look around the states. In Queensland, isolated showers over the far southeast of the state,fine elsewhere. Strong winds are developing along the far southern coast in the afternoon and evening.

In New South Wales, widespread showers about the central and mid-north coast, heavy at times. Scattered showers for the southern coast. Isolated showers will remain in eastern districts and about the northwest slopes.

Victoria will see isolated clearing showers in the far southeast, fine elsewhere, but partly cloudy in the south. Patchy drizzle tending to showers about the northern Tasmania, drizzle and isolated showers elsewhere.

In South Australia, isolated showers across much of the state, but fine across the north, with light to moderate winds.

WA will see showers over the southwest of the state, increasing in the afternoon and evening, sunny elsewhere.

The Northern Territory, dry and mostly sunny throughout.

Looking ahead to tomorrow. Sydney, a shower or two, at top of 19. Melbourne, morning fog, sunny and 19 degrees. Brisbane, showers and 21 degrees. Perth, showers are increasing at a top of 23. Adelaide, mostly sunny at a top of 19. Hobart, morning fog and 16 degrees. Canberra, a possible morning shower at a top of 15. Darwin, sunny and 32 degrees.
