1. Federal accident investigators are recommending states ban the use of cell phones and other electronic devices by all drivers except in emergencies. The recommendation follows a finding that the initial collision in a deadly highway pileup in Missouri last year was caused by the inattention of a teen's texting. 2. The child sex abuse case against former Penn state football coach Jerry Sandusky is headed to trial. Sandusky waived his rights to a preliminary hearing. His lawyer said there wouldn't be any plea deal talks.
3. Belgian officials say a man lobbed grenades and opened fire in a crowded square, killing three people and himself. Seventy-five were wounded. The man was on his way to police for questioning on other criminal matters at the time of the attack.
