 1. Jon Huntsman is dropping out of the Republican presidential race. Huntsman made the announcement this morning in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Huntsman is endorsing Mitt Romney, saying he is the man best equipped to defeat Barack Obama in the fall. 

 
 
 
2. The head of an Italian cruise ship company is blaming a captain for a deadly accident that's killed at least six. Sixteen other people remain missing after the Concordia ran into a reef and toppled onto its side. Two Americans are among the missing. 
 
 
 
3. Shoe seller Zappos.com says a hacker may have gotten personal information of 24 million customers. The company says customers' credit card and payment information was not stolen. But names, phone numbers and the last four digits from credit cards may have been accessed.
 
 
 
4. President Barack Obama says there's no better way to honor Martin Luther King than to do something on behalf of others. The president spoke as his wife and daughter joined volunteers doing a Martin Luther King Day service project at a Washington elementary school.
