Look at the satellite picture. And the main area of cloud that will be impacted as we head in towards the weekend is this cloud massing Western Australia. It's in association with the trough system, triggering showers and storms. Some of those are severe and it will start to move into South Australia, into Victoria and Tasmania as we head into Saturday.

This cloud band, we see, is with another trough, that's sitting through the east but it will weaken, contracting backing towards central parts of Queensland. Well, we could see some isolated showers and thunderstorms developing about parts of central and southern inland on Saturday.

Now, ahead of this trough system, we got hot northerly winds. And if we have a look at the forecast, we can see high temperatures for Adelaide, Melbourne. A little bit milder on the way for Hobart. The temperatures there forecast to be around about 22 degrees.

If we bring up that forecast, we can actually see the icons there as well. The rain developing through South Australia into Victoria. It will also become widespread across Tasmania. But New South Wales is for a clear day, very warm day as well. In fact, the hottest of the condition sitting about southwest of Queensland, northwest New South Wales and that northeast corner of South Australia, maximum there around about 45 to 47 degrees. So very hot conditions across that interior.

For Queensland, mostly dry and we've got showers and storms possible across most of the tropics and just a few showers about the west and south coast with Australia.
