Taking a look at the satellite imageTroughs over Queensland are bringing heavy rain and storms, a high is generating hot and dry northerly winds into southeast Australia while the trough is drawing cooler winds, the showers into southwest West Australia, and low in the tropic is triggering heavy storms. To Queensland, where rains and isolated thunderstorms are forecast for much of state, easing in afternoon, the New South Wales rain developing in the far northeast extending to the west with the possibility of an * thunderstorm, mostly fine elsewhere.
Victoria will see early fall patches in the east clearing to a fine and mostly sunny day, there is a severe fire danger warning in the Wimmera and southwest districts.
To Tasmania, early fall patches about the northwest central north and midlands, fine and sunny elsewhere.
In South Australia, isolated showers and thunderstorms over the pastoral districts extending to the west in the afternoon and evening.
Western Australia will see isolated showers and thunderstorms across much of the state.
And in the top end, isolated showers and storms near the coast developing over inland areas in the afternoon.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, a shower or two in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra.Mostly sunny in Melbourne and Hobart.Possibly showers in Adelaide and Perth.And an afternoon shower or storm for Darwin. |
