PARIS, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The French Football Federation handed rising star Yann Mvila more than 18 months of international ban after the player broke a night-time curfew between two key U-21 European championship qualifiers last month.

Also banned are four Mvila's under-21 teammates Chris Mavinga, Wissam Ben Yedder of Toulouse, Real Sociedad's Antoine Griezmann and Mbaye Niang of AC Milan.
Rennes player Mvila got the longest ban until June 30, 2014, which could leave him out of the Brazil World Cup finals should France qualify.
Local media L'Equipe was the first to unveil the five traveled against the orders from their U-21 base to go to a Paris nightspot on the night of October 13/14.
The team had beaten Norway 1-0 the previous evening in a Euro 2013 play-off but suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Scandinavians 5-3 on Tuesday. France coach Erick Mombaerts was sacked after the loss.
