Republican party officials are scrambling to revise the schedule for their convention in Tampa because of Isaac. Meanwhile, protest organizers are hoping storm threats won't stop its supporters from setting up in this camp near the convention site.

 

 

 

Former Florida governor Charlie Crist is endorsing President Barack Obama. In an Op-Ed piece in Today's Tampa Day Times, the Ex-Republican says he thinks Obama is the right leader for the nation. Crist is currently registered as an independent.

 

 

 

Mark Sanford says he is engaged to the Argentine woman he had an affair with when he was governor of South Carolina. Sanford disappeared for several days in 2009. Reporters were told he was on a hiking trip. The married father of four later admitted he was in Argentina with his now fiancee.
