 Let's take a look at the satellite, a deep low over the Tasman Sea is bringing damaging winds, dangerous surf conditions and showers onto the New South Wales coast, a large high over the Bight is directing scatterred showers over Victoria.

 
Looking around the states, it'll be dry and cool across Queensland today, there'll be strong winds over the southern gulf.
 
Isolated showers along the coast and the far southern ranges of New South Wales, the Barrington Tops and Alps can expect snow, fine and mostly sunny in the rest of the state.
 
A cold morning for Victoria, then mostly sunny in the west and north, the south and east of the state can expect a wet and windy day.
 
There'll be isolated showers across most of Tasmania today, except in the north of the state.
 
There is a chance of isolated showers over the central and southeast in disctricts of South Australia, fine elsewhere, in the west, it'll be mostly sunny and warm with cloud increasing throughout the day.
 
Cool in the south of the Northern Territory today, but otherwise dry and sunny.
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow, and a shower or two in Sydney and Melbourne, rain developing in Perth, fine in Brisbane, Adelaide and Darwin, and partly cloudy in Hobart and Canberra.
