WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Utah Jazz may miss Mo Williams in Monday's game as the starting point guard suffered an injured right thumb, the NBA club announced on Sunday.
Williams sustained the injury in a loss on Saturday at Miami and will be further evaluated on Monday.
Jamaal Tinsley will take the 30-year-old's spot.
Williams, whose thumb underwent an MRI exam, has averaged 12.9 points and 6.7 assists over 24 games so far this season. He was in his 10th NBA season.
The Jazz began the season 14-14, last in the Northwest division.
