 A series of troughs is generating showers and storms in western Queensland, the northern territory, South Australia, and eastern West Australia. A high is driving the odd shower onto coastal New South Wales, while keeping Queensland, Victoria, and Tasmania mostly dry.

 
Looking around the states.
 
There'll be isolated showers and storms in the east and northwest of the state. While in the southwest, it will be mostly sunny and hot.
 
New South Wales can expect a cool day in the east with isolated showers, while there will be mostly sunny and mild in the west.
 
For Victorians, it will start with a partly cloudy day with isolated showers developing over western districts during the afternoon and evening.
 
Northern Tasmania can expect isolated showers with much of the rest of the state mostly cool and sunny.
 
In South Australia, it will be partly cloudy with isolated showers in the south with the temperature increasing as you go north.
 
In Western Australia, it is mostly sunny in the east, with it being hot and thundery in the north.
 
The northwest of the state can expect isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms, where as the rest of the state will be hot and partly cloudy.
 
To tomorrow, around the capitals. Mostly fine with possibility of showers in Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart. And Canberra, can expect clouds. A wet day in Perth. In Melbourne and Adelaide can enjoy a mostly sunny day. And a storm or two in Darwin.
