 A trough over Queensland is triggering potentially severe storms in northern Australia. While hot, northerly winds are filtering into South Australia and Vicotria. Finally troughs over WA, South Australia, and in the Northern Territory are triggering isolated showers and storms.

Queensland can expect a hot day with patchy showers throughout the state.
 
 
In New South Wales, there'll be isolated showers in the northeast, while elsewhere it will be mostly sunny.
 
 
Victorians will have a warm day with strong winds particular over the south of the state.
 
 
Tasmania can expect a fine and mostly sunny day with few showers developing in the afternoon.
 
 
In South Australia, it will be hot in the east. And north of the state with isolated storms throughout.
 
 
WA can expect a sunny day in the south with storms in the north and west of the state.
 
 
The Northern Territory can expect isolated storms in the north and the west. While it will be mostly sunny elsewhere.
 
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow. And around the capitals. Sydney, Hobart, and Canberra can expect a cloudy day. It should be sunny in Perth and Adelaide. And there is a possibility of rain in Melbourne and Brisbane.
