叙利亚被释放被绑架的意大利记者(在线收听

ROME, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Italian Foreign Ministry said four Italian journalists who were kidnapped and held in Syria earlier this month have been released.

The Italian reporters were taken hostage on April 5 in northern Syria, close to Turkish border, the Foreign Ministry said earlier.
Italian interim Foreign Minister Mario Monti, who is also the country's caretaker prime minister, said in a statement on Saturday that he was grateful for all the institutions that "made possible the successful outcome of this happening, complicated by the particularly dangerous nature of the context."
Monti also expressed gratitude to local media for "responsibly complying with the request to adopt the utmost discretion," looking at journalists' safety as the priority, according to the statement, providing no further details.
However, the four were reportedly in good health conditions and were now in Turkey.
The journalists were part of a crew working on a history report for the Rai state television.
