英闻天下——539 Shenzhen School Entrance Rule(在线收听

   Education is one of the biggest concerns of migrant workers, especially in Shenzhen where 3/4 of people do not have local Hukou. In an effort to improve education equality, municipal government tries to break the Hukou barrier by introducing a brand new school entrance qualification rule based on how much contribution a student's parents made to the city.

  The new policy will rank parents by scoring their different contributions. The higher credits the parents have, the more possible their kids can be enrolled in local schools.
