爱丁堡珠宝店劫匪获刑22年(在线收听

EDINBURGH, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Two men involved in robbing a leading jewellery shop in Scotland's capital Edinburgh earlier this year were jailed on Monday for 22 years.

Elliot Jorgensen, 25, of Salford and 26-year-old Anthony Boyd of Manchester returned to the High Court in Glasgow on Monday after admitting to a charge of assault and robbery.
Their crime took place in less than 90 seconds in which 730,000 pounds (1.15 million U.S. dollars) worth of items including diamonds and watches were stolen, the online Scotsman newspaper reported.
Jorgensen, who was jailed for robbery in 2007, was locked up for 12 years for being involved in the raid itself with an accomplice, while Boyd was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for having a central role in the planning of the robbery, said the report.
Prosecutors also hit the pair with a confiscation order totalling 1.5 million pounds, but will only receive one pound from each since the duo have no significant assets, it added.
