LOUGH ERNE, Britain, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of the Group of Eight (G8) industrialized nations on Monday evening enjoyed local delicacies at a working dinner at the end of the first day of the summit.

The eight G8 prime ministers and presidents were joined by European Commission and Council presidents Jose Manuel Barroso and Herman van Rompuy.
On his twitter account, British Prime Minister David Cameron posted a menu for the working dinner, which kicks off with a Kilkeel crab salad followed by braised shin of kettyle beef. That was backed up by apple crumble for dessert, with a cheese selection alongside tea or coffee, before things are rounded off with mint, rose and violet creams.
The working dinner focused on Syria and other foreign affairs issues. It took place in a waterside lodge at the Lough Erne Resort, where the two-day summit is being held.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Barack Obama held a brief meeting over Syrian situation, with both admitting their differences but saying they share a common determination to stop the bloodshed.
