BUENOS AIRES, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Argentine President Cristina Fernandez on Thursday rebuked the Supreme Court of Justice for blocking key parts of a judicial reform proposed by her administration.

The court on Tuesday said it's "unconstitutional" to require popular votes for the magistrates' council that chooses judges.
With six votes in favor and one against, the court decided that "judges, lawyers and academicians cannot be forced to submit themselves to popular elections."
Fernandez said at an official commemorative event that she will "good humoredly" accept the legal decisions that strike down her government's initiatives.
Ruling party deputy Diana Conti on Thursday told a local radio station that the country's top court is trying to "weaken the government" and called upon supporters to be "alert."
