中国西南地区的四川省因大雨导致的山体滑坡和洪水致使8人死亡，11人失踪。

　　Downpours battered Shimian County in the city of Yaan Thursday evening. Landslide and floods resulted in the suspension of traffic on several highways, the city’s publicity office said.

　　At least 4 villages have been heavily affected. Around 1,700 emergency staff are working on the sites to rescue people and repair the roads. More than 4,700 residents have been relocated, as more natural disasters may occur.
