  Officials in Oklahoma announced nine people are dead from powerful tornadoes that swept through the greater Oklahoma City area yesterday. 104 people are hurt. Gibson, member station, KWGS has told us says many of the victims were trapped on the roads.
 
  There’s a high expected death toll for last night tornadoes. And there’re people who were caught up in the storm as they were on the inner state highway nearby El Reno, the Union City. And it was a rush hour, they were heading home. And a mother and her baby were caught up in the storm, their vehicle overturned, and they were shut out the vehicle and died.
 
  The storm also triggered heavy flooding. They come less than two weeks after deadly EF5 tornado plough through more Oklahoma that killed 12 people and injured dozens more.
 
  Today marks the start of the six-month Atlantic hurricane season. NPR’s Debbie Elliott reports no one is predicting another busy year of hurricane stage along the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
 
  Federal forecasters say water and weather conditions in the Atlantic basin are expected to produce more and stronger hurricanes, making for an active season. Last year was the third busiest storms record with 19 named storms, 10 were hurricanes includes Sandy which caused $15 billion in damage along the eastern Seaboard. State officials say costal residents should be preparing evacuation plans and taking other precautions before the peek up hurricane season in late summer along with the alert to be ready. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is telling residents to be wearing scams including a recent x company offering window film as hurricane production. Debbie Elliott, NPR News.
 
  Canadian oil producer hit a road block on Friday. The provincial Government of British Colombia rejected a pipeline proposal that would build through its territory. NPR’s Elizabeth Shogren reports it’s the latest try as Canada’s oil producers try to find ways to explore their heavy x and crude.
 
  The northern gate way pipeline proposal would bring x oil across the Rookie Mountain of Nevada to the Pacific. But the government of British Colombia says the company that wants to build that pipeline Ambridge has to meet the province environment requirements. For example, British Colombia says x provided little evidence how it would respond to oil spills. A spill tasen Opened x which pipeline into x river and Michigan is still being cleaned up three years later. US environmentalists say President Obama should follow British Colombia’s example and reject the key x pipeline which would bring more Canadian oil to the United States.   British officials has charge a second suspect in slaying a British soldier. He was hacked to death on a street in London on May 22nd.

  Turkish medias say police are polling out of the main square of Istanbul which has been filled of thousands of demonstrators. The protest began an opposition to the development of square. Now this brought into an anti-government protest, and the Turkish government initially responded this week with tear gas and water cannon. There’re reports hundreds of people were hurt.
 
  Three days after announcing she won’t seek reelection next year, Minnesota Republican congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is being hit with civil penalties failing to disclose finances of her 2010 campaign. As NPR’s David Welna reports, Bachmann faces several investigations into her 2010 campaign expenditure.
 
  Representative Bachmann’s campaign committee has been slapped with $8,000 in fines, and now disclosing more than $200,000 in contributions, and a same amount in spending during her 2010 campaign. The fines were agreed to more than a month ago but were only posted this week by the federal election commission. In a x radio, she is announcing she would not seek a fifth term in the House, and insisted the decisions have nothing to do with x investigations. Another pro is still on the way in her campaign’s payments to x state Senator x last year’s election. The challengers in that raise, Minnesota Democrat Jim Graves has announced she is suspending a rematch been because of main goal have been to unsee Bachmann. David Welna, NPR News, Washington.
 
  It’s been a cold wet spring in southern France, today, one of the ski station open for business in a period for about four hours. The slop usually closes on April 1st, but it's still snow on the ground. The ski station is expected to open again tomorrow.
