A one-man's disturbance in Beijing today at the World Bank news conference. World Bank President Robert Zoellic just began speaking when this man Du JianGuo stood up and started chanting slogans. " The state-own industry should not be privatized. And this report from World Bank is poison. " A line do instantly use as the title of this paper handout the journalists.

But Zoellic continued the event and commented on the Monday World Bank report that called on China to open its markets, and reduced influence of State-own companies, which he claims are really benefited from government assistance and subsidies.

"I think many experts have viewed that state-own enterprises have benefited from very inexpensive financing, preferred positions in the market. And they've gained very large retained earnings that they've led the China's savings, but haven't necessarily benefited all the Chinese people. "

Zoellic just instead said that such subsidies should not be directed to the companies, but people.

" So, the reduced China's global saving rate and also benefited the Chinese people, if a lot of those dividends are sent back to provide social benefits for Chinese people. You have a structural change and help support some of those security systems.

Outside the event, Du continued his protests.

"The world bank wants Chinese banks to become like Wall Street, do they want Chinese bankers to turn into liars and parasites. Strong words on thorny subject in China, one that will continue to flare more and more as China find its place in the world. "
