 1. A Senate panel has voted to give President Barack Obama the authority to use military force against Syria in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack. The full Senate is expected to vote on the measure next week.

But the prosecutor who handled the case said it shows that Castro couldn't take, even for a month, a small portion of what he dished out to the women for more than a decade.
