The Olympic torch has climbed the tallest mountain in Wales carried by one of Britain's best-loved mountaineers.

       奥运火炬已经到达了威尔士最高山，是由英国最受欢迎的登山运动员之一克里斯·伯宁顿爵士传递的。

　　Sir Chris Bonington carried the flame to the top of Snowdon in Gwynedd, north Wales. It was on the same almost 11-hundred-meter mountain that the now-77-year-old mountaineer began his career in 1951.

      克里斯·伯宁顿爵士携带圣火到达格温内思郡，位于威尔士北部斯诺登峰的最高处。此峰的海拔大约在1100米，现在克里斯·伯宁顿爵士是一位77岁的登山运动员，他是1951年开始了他的职业生涯。

　　Bonington says that while he had climbed Snowdon many times, Tuesday marks the first time he has used the Snowdon Mountain Railway to get to the top of the mountain.
