US government says it's organizing shipments of emergency supplies to help provide shelter to hundreds of thousands people displaced in the Phillipines by the typhoon hit that country last week,shipments also include food and hygane supplies.Phillipine soliders have been handing out food and water in some of the more devastated areas including the heavily damaged city of Taluban.NPR's Tom Boman says the aircraft carrier the US Georgeia Washington is being deployed to the hoted region.
It's estamated as many as 10000 people have been killed and also roughly 600000 who have been left homeless.So   arrives with helicopters and ability to carry food,water and medical equipment that can really help the situation like this.
President of Phillipines declared a state of national clamity there aline for fast release of emergency funds to help victims.
President Obama paid tribute to one of the oldest living veterans of world war 2 as you mark this veteran's day on internationa summitary.NPR's Scott reports the president also challenge the Americans not to forget a new generation of veterans return from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
President Obama praised 107 year old Richard Overton for his service in the pacific during world war 2 and for the way Overton continues to live as Obama said Proud and strong in the land he help keep free.As long running Afghan war wides down Obama pledged America will continue to support a new generation of military heros.

Syrian rebels now say they are recruiting fighters in Jordan's Tary camp for Syrian refugees.That's a spite ban on rebel activities there put in place by the UN and Jordanian officials.On a recent visit to the Serlity,reproters with associated press witnessed a truck with a louder speaker calling on refugees to undergo trainning.UN officials threatened if they see such recruit takeing place they will notify the Jordanian government.

Police in Huston say they have charged 2 suspects in connection with the deadly shooting in a house party over the weekend left 2 people dead and 19 others hurt.Official say the shooting apparently rupt after someone fired a pistol into the air in celebration where    confusion with then gunfired the crowd,17 year old and 16 year old were killed.
