 A trough in the east is bringing showers and storms to eastern New South Wales and potentially severe storms to southern Queensland. Another trough stretching through WA and South Australia is triggering isolated showers and storms.

In Queensland, showers and potentially severe storms in the east. Hot and mostly sunny in the west. 
 
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the east and half of New South Wales, with chance of showers and thunderstorms in the far northwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
 
Rain in the north of Victoria, mainly on the ranges to the east. Generally dry in the south and west.
 
In Tasmania, isolated showers above the north, mostly clearing by late afternoon. Otherwise fine.
 
Fine in South Australia, apart from isolated showers and possible thunderstorms in northeast of above Coober Pedy, Sajuna to Port Gangsta. 
 
To Western Australia, showers and storms from the southwest to the Kimberly. Hot in the north and west, warm in the southeast. 
 
In the Northern Territory, showers and storms in the north. Hot throughout. Fresh winds in the south.
 
Let's check the weather around the country. Showers in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra, becoming dry in Melbourne. It'll be sunny in Hobart, Adelaide and Perth, an afternoon shower or two for Darwin.
