In our heat index is water, the fountain of youth. We've all been shogging it all morning because one woman says she looks a decade younger thanks to drinking so much water. We've all heard it from some doctors but this woman really has pictures to prove it. Take a look.

Forty-two-year old Sarah Smith claims drinking six bottles of water a day for one month help take ten years off your face. This is Smith before. And this is her just twenty-eight days later. Originally she set out on her water challenge in an attempt to help with migranes but found it to help so much more. She chronicled her journey for the daily mail and says I'm feeling leaner and fitter too which is amazing, since the only thing I've changed is the amount of water I drink.
We don't realize how powerful impact it has on our bodies and our skin in particular. When you are more hydrated and when you have enough water in your system and in your skin, it has both direct and indirect effects. You feel better and when you feel better, you look better.
Smith was astonished by the results. After four weeks, she writes,I genuinely can't believe the difference in my face, I look like a different woman. My husband and friends tell me I look ten years younger, who wouldn't want to try something that gets such incredible results.
All right so we want to bring in our chief Health and Medical editor Dr. Rich to seperate fact from friction. So Rich what do your think about this woman's claims, her experience?
Yeah, I mean water is incredibly important there is nothing our bodies regulate closer than water and salt. And so if you get dehydrated, your bodies is gonna pull water from your tissues, from your skin to maintain the concentration in your blood. Everyone is reaching out for the bottle. So when it does that, your eyes are gonna look sunking, your skin is gonna feel dryer. It's not be as elastic so you will look a lot older. But if you are not dehydrated and you drink a lot of extra water, it just can send you to the bathroom.
So are most of us normally somewhat dehydrated though, people normally don't drink enough.
Well, you know, it depends on the degree. You know,if you are not feeling thirst, if you are not thirsty, you probably are not dehydrated. You are not dehydrated to the point when you gonna be pulling the water from your tissues. There is just nothing to show that.
I thought We did a report not too long ago, but you can be endangered of drinking too much water.
Well, it's pretty hard. Your kidney is doing a very good job of filtering your water, making sure that that doesn't happen. The elderly, young children can actully drink too much water to the point where they are gonna to have an*, it can be very dangerous. It's very hard unless you have a real mental illness to drink yourself to that point.
I know too it can help snacking. And I mean, if you are staying hydrated and drinking especially a lot of water in between meals. You are less likely...
I think there are all kinds of great reasons to drink a lot of water. And I drink water all the time. When you drink water you are not drinking soda or other things. But in terms of making you truly look younger, I'm not sure for that woman whether it's the lighting.
Is the lighting in the bathroom better for everyone, that's my question to you doctor?
The lighting is definitely better in the bathroom. It's proved, that's a scientific thing.
How do you feel about, you know, if you don't love drinking water, you know you should drink more. How do you feel about those packages, sort of cystal light or the they have the aspartame.
You can add flavors, a little lemon or a little wine or juice.
Do you hate those?
I don't like aspartame. Personally, I don't like the flavor. But it's sure better than go for sodas.
Ok,all right, thank you so much.
