I'm in a lava tube in Iceland searching for water, but my torch is dying fast. There's a little seep of water coming through the rock here, and this is good enough to drink. Yeah, that's as good as I'm gonna get around here. Ahh. It’s nice. I now have a full water bottle. Just want to get out of this lava tube before this fire dies. Do the rest of this in the dark if this goes out. And that is not what I want -- look, it's gone. Oh, no. I'm forced to do the last 200 yards in darkness. 

 

But at last, I've made it to the cave exit. I'm at the edge of the lava fields, but I'll still need all my energy to cross the vast plains that stretch in front of me. And then a 50-mile-an-hour wind closes in. And it's just like making progress almost impossible. This is probably gusting like 50, 60 miles an hour. And what it does is just whip up -- whip up the sand and blast it into your face, all the pebbles. That's how strong it is.
